Everyone knows that Japanese culture is one of the most interesting in the whole wide world. With all its rituals and ceremonies, Japan is a country that still is very keen on its culture and won’t ever give it away. It would be too bad to do that, anyway. The cultural heritage of Japan is simply impressing, given all the years since its existance. The fascination that Japanese culture produces among people is unlimited and you feel like you can never finish knowing everything about it. Again and again you run into new cultural information, whether it’s historical or social.

Tea ceremony in Japan is very well known for its ritual. Beginning with the type of tea and ending with clothing. Well, I must tell you that marriage is also important and it is given special attention too. Anyway, it’s natural for that to happen, what country doesn’t pay attention and give significant importance to the holy matrimony?

Japanese women are beautiful anyway, and seeing them dressed in wedding gowns makes them even more beautiful. Nowadays, most Japanese women don’t really stick to the traditional ritual of marriage. They replaced the traditional wedding costume with wedding dresses like you see in the European states, America and so on. But in contrast to this, some of them wanted to have a traditional wedding and went for the traditional Japanese wedding costume. And knowing how lovely the kimonos are, the ones made especially for weddings are as lovely as they are.

The pictures above show older women as Japanese brides, but just imagine how such wedding outfits would have looked on young ladies. As you can see, there are two types of traditional wedding costumes. White, with a strange kind of hats or colorful, mostly with red and golden predominating. Even the shoes are traditional: those kind of flip-flops with platforms, wore with a certain type of socks. The traditional wedding costume is as complicated as the traditional kimono is. It consists of many parts, which have to be dressed in a specific order.

Moreover, the hair must be done according to the ritual: a specific updo. The make-up is done using a white-ish foundation and a vivid red lipstick. Also, a black eyeliner is mandatory, to outline the eyes, and we all know the beauty of Japanese eyes. The contrast between true red lipstick, blackest black eyeliner and pale white foundation is strong and appropriate for the whole wedding outfit.
